The S.T.E.A.M. engine

The S.T.E.A.M. engine means. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. used in a creative and inspiring way.

Our home made hologram made by using Open Source Technology

We at the Common Good Project work to  encourage the use of imagination, technology, and creativity in every day life. Promoting the use of Open Source software and the reuse of older or discarded computers, through recycling workshops and engineering projects
Our upcoming project will use voice recognition to retrieve information from the internet and control technology. I.e turning your lights on and off:)
We meet at Kinning Park Complex, each Sunday between 11:00 and 3:00. Drop in and find out about all of our exciting projects, or just enjoy a free coffee and a chat.

Technology at work Weather station

We have Weather stations at Renfrew and Kinning Park Complex  Weather stations can be about  learning how and why environmental data is measured. Learning to deal with big data and the complex analysis that is required. How-and-what effect commercial and industrial impacts have on climate. And understanding long term measurement and analysis works.

Junk Engineering

The eight quid laptop. This is where we bought our £8 laptop, that started the free laptop project. Consumerism can destroy innovation and fixing things. Junk is when something is useless, most things can be used reshaped and modelled for reuse and even art from their shape and form.
